01How do I check my Polish pronunciation online?

Open Practice, say a phrase into the mic. In a couple of seconds — a sound score and the teacher’s voice. No sign-up.

02Which Polish sounds give away an accent most often?

First is “ł”: people read it like Russian “л”, though it’s closer to English w. Then nasal “ą” and “ę”, which almost always get swallowed, “rz”, and soft si, ci, zi, dzi. That’s where we start.

03Do I need to sign up?

No. Checking on the site works right away: open, record, hear feedback. An account is only needed if you want progress to stick across days — that’s in the app.

04How is this different from Duolingo and other apps?

Those teach words and grammar, and check pronunciation as “recognized / not recognized.” We flip it: we don’t teach vocabulary at all — we break down each sound and tell you exactly what’s off.

05Does it work on a phone?

Yes — Practice opens in a mobile browser. Mic, recording, and feedback work the same. Nothing to install.

06What if I have no idea how to pronounce ł?

Don’t reach your tongue to your teeth. Polish “ł” is made with the lips: round them like for “u” and don’t touch the palate with your tongue. You’ll get the sound from English water. In Practice the teacher says it alone so you can hear the difference from your version.

07Are Listening and Dialogues paid?

No. On the site, listening, all dialogues, and all phrases are free — no sign-up, no subscription. PRO is only needed in the mobile app.

08How do I delete my audio recordings?

In the app: Menu → Audio storage → revoke consent. On the site, recordings aren’t stored by default without your permission. Data questions — on the contact page.
